Spiritual Support

At the City Mission people of all beliefs and those who hold no belief at all are welcome and given every assistance that we are able to give. There are no expectations on those who use our services to have a religious belief and no attempt is made to evangelise.

Our staff come from many faiths and from no faith at all. There is no requirement on them to believe. There is however a requirement that they will respect the Christian faith and give unspoken witness to this by the way they conduct themselves and in the manner in which they treat others. Our Mission statement says that the City Mission is a Christian Social Service seeking to express love as demonstrated by Christ.

We are not just another Social Service but are a Christian Social Service, motivated by the Gospel values and supported by the prayers of the Anglican and the Christian community. On the first Wednesday of each month at 1:00 p.m. a Service is held in the chapel at the Mission. This is when we

pray for those who help us and also for those who supported us during their life but who have now died.

You are invited to support us by your prayers and good wishes so that our spirit and our desire to give of our best will remain will remain strong.

Man does not live by bread alone but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.
