Recently the Men’s Day programme had a BBQ at Spencer Park with 14 men going along. After a game of French cricket and a chuck around of a rugby ball the men cooked up some chops and sausages. Following lunch they all went for bush and beach walks. A simple day but very much enjoyed by the men, most of whom had never been to Spencer Park or some even that far out of the city for many years. Income Poverty - 295,000 New Zealand Children live in low income families. That's 29% of Kiwi Kids or 1 in 4 children.
Severe Poverty - 90,000 New Zealand Children are in both low income families and material hardship. That's more than 8% of Kiwi Kids.
Crowded Housing - At least 16% of Kiwi Kids live in crowded homes, 43% of families are spending more than 30% of their income on housing.
