The City Mission would not be able to provide quality services to our clients without the direct assistance of over 190 volunteers.

Mission volunteers need to be able to relate to and feel comfortable around people who come from diverse backgrounds and experiences. We have a variety of options available for volunteering within our differing services (more information about the services requiring volunteers can be found in our volunteer application pack).

When the volunteer first approaches the Mission an application form is sent out to them, to be completed and returned to our volunteer coordinator. Following this an interview will then be arranged which involves matching the volunteer to the service where they have an interest.

All our volunteers are required to undergo a police check to ensure safety of the volunteers and clients. 

The commitment, talents and time our volunteers gift to our services are vital to the services we provide.

If you are interested and have some time available we would love to hear from you. Volunteers must be 16 years old or more.
