City Mission Christmas Carol Service

A choir that sings from the heart

A new choir with a heartwarming background will be the star performers at this year’s City Mission Christmas Carol Service.

Everyone is welcome to attend the Carol Service at the Transitional Cathedral at 7pm on December 14.

This year we will feature the inaugural performance of the Christchurch City Mission Choir, which includes very brave and committed people who have been homeless and in our emergency shelters and who use our drop-in day programmes. They will be joined by Mission volunteers and staff to sing the songs of Christmas we all love.

This is a choir that sings from hearts which have experienced much hardship in life and yet want to give back to the community which has supported them.

They have rehearsed for weeks under the guidance of Canterbury University voice coordinator Zara Ballara (pictured above) – herself a City Mission volunteer – and can’t wait to show something very special.

Don’t miss the chance to experience this wonderful evening celebrating Christmas in the Transitional Cathedral.
