Social Enterprise

We want people to thrive

We know how to help people when they experience some of their toughest life moments. We give them food, a warm safe place to sleep, counselling - what they need to cope with their crisis.

But we also know we can achieve even more and give them long-term sustainable change in their lives. We offer our clients growth opportunities through our learning and development and work readiness programmes.

Securing safe, warm and sustainable housing plays a big part in transforming a life and it’s why we work so hard at this. However, another big piece in the jigsaw puzzle of recovery is growing the self-worth, joy and independence that comes when someone, who feels they have hit rock bottom, gets a job.

We’ve literally seen people who experience and achieve this walk taller, speak clearer, hold eye contact for longer, and begin to smile once again.

Our City Mission social enterprises help us get people to this wonderful place.

These mini businesses let us offer our clients volunteering and paid work experiences in real-life businesses. The skills and confidence they gain help them towards independent lives and to rejoin normal society.

All proceeds from the social enterprises support our work with clients.
